Ransomware attack
On Friday the government computer network in New Orleans was shut down due to a cyber attack. Mayor LaToya Cantrell, signed a state of emergency after detecting a ransomware attack. The perpetrators of the attack have not yet been identified, it is not known what lies behind their attack and what they expect. The city believes that no confidential employee information has been violated.
