Dennis Ritchie

An outstanding American IT specialist who has repeatedly made his mark in the IT industry. At first, he was a co-creator of the programming language B developed at Bell Labs in 1969. He then developed the C language with Ken Thompson and Bran Kernighan in the early 1970s. In the meantime, he was a co-creator of the Unix operating system. Certainly influenced the creation of modern programming languages. In 1983, Ritchie received the Turing Award, awarded every year for outstanding achievements in computer science.
